Frequently asked questions:
Q. Do you offer a Military discount?
A. Yes. You can use coupon code MERICA to discount a few parts. It DOES NOT work on everything! Some parts don't have a discount, such as paddle tires. Thank you for your service! Thank you for your sacrifices, for your valor, for protecting us, and for defending our rights. Thank you to all our veterans for your courage, strength and dedication to keeping our great nation safe.
Q. I found other coupon and discount codes searching on Google.com, are they valid?
A. No. They were all created by a disgruntled ex-employee and random bots.
Q. Do you have a racer program and racer pricing?
A. Yes. Register on our website, then email us on the contact us page that you're interested in our racer program. Not everything is discounted. Some parts don't have a discount, such as paddle tires. The discount is not a set percentage across the board, it varies per item. You must put a Kartek sticker on either side of your vehicle in clear view which you can get for free on your next purchase.
Q. Do you have a wholesale program and wholesale pricing?
A. Yes. Register on our website, then email us on the contact us page that you're interested in our wholesale program. Not everything is discounted. Some parts don't have a discount, such as paddle tires. The discount is not a set percentage across the board, it varies per item. Discount pricing depends on your gross yearly purchases or if you're buying one particular item in a bulk quantity. If you're in California, and have a valid resale permit, we can use that too.
Q. Do you offer sponsorships for racers or race teams?
A. No, we don't offer any sort of sponsorships.
Q. Can you use my DHL, UPS, or FedEx account for shipping?
A. Yes, but on some orders, depending on the size of the order or the parts that you ordered, we may charge you a handling fee, boxing fee, or crating fee. For example the fiberglass baja bug hood. We have to spend hours custom making a crate to ship that.
Q. Do you offer free shipping?
A. No. We charge shipping on EVERY order, unless you provide us with your own DHL, UPS, or FedEx account. See above question about handling/boxing/crating fees.
Q. Why doesn't your website calculate a shipping cost on everything?
A. Because of the vast array of parts that we carry. We are slowly weighing, measuring, and writing the logic for each and every part. The logic of not packing a windshield with a 50 pound steering rack and pinion is a great example.
Q. How will I know if something is out of stock?
A. Check the order status page HERE
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Yes, everyday Monday through Friday to every country worldwide, except for countries that have a current trade embargo against them. Some items we can not ship internationally such as spray paint, nitrogen bottles or flammable items.
Q. Does your website calculate GST / Tax / Duty for international orders?
A. No, with the Exception of Australia and New Zealand. It is your responsibility to contact your local customs office to determine any fees accessed by your local government. Some countries do not charge GST based on the carrier you use, for example United States Postal Service. Some countries do not charge GST based on the value of your order. For example if your order is less than a certain dollar value.
- Australia: If the order is less than $1000 AUD in parts, then we charge 10% GST and remit it to Australia quarterly. If the order is greater than $1000 AUD, then you pay GST when the package arrives. To see the current value of $1000 AUD to USD CLICK HERE. Q. How are shipments handled to the EU European Union?
A. Beginning March 1, 2023 the EU Import Control System phase 2 (ICS2) was implemented. Air shipments into the EU, Norway and Switzerland will require you (the receiver) to obtain an EORI number (UID number for Switzerland) to import goods into your country. We will need your EORI / UID number prior to shipping your order for it to clear customs. Phase 3 Import Control System (ICS3) will include ocean shipments beginning March 1, 2024.

Q. How are shipments handled to Canada eh?
A. Beginning May 25, 2021 CARM had their Release 1. The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA), through their Canadian Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) initiative will change how they collect and report duty and tax. Importing businesses should register well in advance of Release 2.
Release 2 happens October 2023 with a soft launch. In May 2024, CARM will become the official system of record for the collection of duties and taxes for commercial goods imported into Canada.
We're going to assume that at some point shipping carriers and Canada is going to have us verify your business number and apply it to all customs documents similar to how the European Union does with their EORI system.
