DOT 5 fluid is silicone-based and will not mix with DOT 3, 4, or 5.1


Polyethylene Glycol (polyglycol) Fluids Minimum Specifications:
DOT 3 - 140 °C (284 °F) Wet boiling point - 205 °C (401 °F) Dry boiling point
DOT 4 - 155 °C (311 °F) Wet boiling point - 230 °C (446 °F) Dry boiling point
DOT 5.1 - 180 °C (356 °F) Wet boiling point - 260 °C (500 °F) Dry boiling point

Silicone-based Fluids Minimum Specifications:
DOT 5 - 180 °C (356 °F) Wet boiling point - 260 °C (500 °F) Dry boiling point

We do sell brake fluids that greatly exceed their minimum DOT specification.
