What is a Pinlock anti-fog lens insert?

Racing with a fogged up helmet visor can be really annoying and dangerous, as it disrupts the driver's vision and focus on the race course. The fog build-up in a visor can get even thicker and blurrier during cold and rainy weather conditions, making it even more difficult for the driver to see what's ahead.

The Pinlock lens is lined with a silicon bead, which creates a double pane window type of effect when the Pinlock insert is attached to the helmet's visor. The pocket of air that is trapped between the Pinlock lens and the helmet's visor acts as an insulator for the inside temperatures in the helmet. Efficient absorption properties combined with the double pane like feature, the Pinlock visor insert is the most effective, durable and affordable anti-fog solution on the market.

Pinlock lenses simply snap into place on the inside of Pinlock ready helmet visors. Helmet visors that are setup for this, will have two tiny pegs on the inside of the visor.
