Note: 5 bolt fuel gauge sending units are intentionally asymmetrical. Meaning the spacing between each of the 5 bolt holes isn’t even. Keep spinning the sending unit around and eventually the holes will line up with your fuel cell.

Autometer's 3262 fuel level sender can be adjusted for fuel tanks from 5 inches deep up to 24 inches deep. You take the depth of your fuel tank and divide it in half. That is how far down you set the pivot point on the fuel sender. For example if your fuel tank was 20 inches deep, then you set the sending unit pivot at 10 inches down, so the arm can swing down 10 inches to empty and up 10 inches to full.
