Description
Note: Neither the bracket or the pulley include the 10mm 1.5 x 28mm bolt or retaining washer. You'll need to pick those up from a local auto parts supplier or use the OEM bolt and washer.
Uses Gates 38008 idler pulley. Pulley, bolt and washer are NOT included.
This tensioner is made to fit the 1998-2002 LS1 Camaro and 2004-2006 LS1 and LS2 GTO belt lines. It is CNC cut from a solid block of 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum and is made here in the USA. CBM uses these manual style tensioners in high horsepower applications when you cannot allow for belt slippage. They also help to eliminate throwing the belt at high RPM's.
Have problems stretching the belt? This may be a solution to your problem as it does not allow the belt to constantly relax then pull tight. It comes with a provision for a 3/8" drive breaker bar for easy adjustability.
