You'll notice that FK sells their uniball cups with a true "internal" snap ring, but at Kartek we sell an "external" snap ring for the same purpose. On a true internal snap ring, such as FK's, the two ears hang slightly over the edge of the uniball. They can start digging into your misalignment spacers and once the spacers have a slight imperfection in them, the spacers will peel out the uniball's Teflon liner.
