Fox uses the finest materials to produce their off road racing shocks. This also includes their shock oil which is formulated specifically for Fox shocks.
Fox's JM92 red shock oil is designed to last longer under heavy use. This oil is more resistant to shock fade from high oil temperatures.
If you have an "emulsion" shock without a reservoir, you fill the shock body to Fox's specifications and measure from the edge of the body down to the fluid.
If you have a shock with a reservoir, you fill the shock body to Fox's specifications and measure from the edge of the reservoir down to the piston.
