Description
The new Fox MAC (Maximally Attenuated Compression) pistons are the ultimate bypass shock upgrade. Fox more than doubled the height on their wear band. 3/8" tall on a standard 3-1/2" shock versus the new MAC pistons that use a 15/16" tall wear band.
This extra height makes a world of difference by sealing the bypass ports as the shock cycles through its travel. The height also helps with shock oil blowing over the sides of the piston. Instead it forces the oil through the piston and shim stacks.
