Description

The purpose of a relay is to get the load (amps) off of your switch or thermostat so you don't melt your switch or thermostat. Hella's 4RA 003.437-081 heavy duty relay for applications requiring a large amp source. Note: The #87 and #30 blades are larger than your conventional 40 amp relay. The #87 and #30 blades on this relay use 3/8" female slide on terminals.

Wiring:

#86 - 1/4" blade switched power on trigger wire (toggle switch, ignition switch or fan thermostat)
#87 - 3/8" blade goes to your radiator fans or starter solenoid and provides up to 60 amps
#30 - 3/8" blade is for 12 volt constant power. Obviously run a fuse or circuit breaker on this wire
#85 - 1/4" blade is a ground wire
