This twelve point flange bolt is made from 8740 alloy steel. 8740 is an aircraft grade material used in applications like cylinder head and rod bolts for its ability to resist being stretched, deformed or sheared under high stress loads. 8740 bolts are ideal for offroad racing suspension, spindle uprights, heims joints or uniballs.
We also sell a wide variety of bushing assemblies and weld on threaded bungs that you can use with this bolt to fabricate all sorts of things for your project. Whatever you're using this bolt for, always use National Aerospace Standards (NAS) washers underneath the head of this bolt.
