Description
This chromoly adapter stud is specially machined for Kartek Off-Road. The threads are 1/2"-20 thread on one side and 7/16"-20 thread on the other side. Torque to 65ft pounds. After you put a nut on one side (sold separately), you end up with basically the same 2-7/16" to 2-1/2" long CV bolt.

This stud gives you two options:
- 1) It allows you to run 1/2" hole Porsche 934 CV joints on older micro stub axles or transmission drive flanges that were threaded 7/16-20. This is especially useful if you want to run four matching 1/2" hole CV joints when either your transmission or your hubs still has 7/16" thread.
- 2) On some Fortin Racing transmissions, their 1/2-20 thread drive flange CV bolt holes go all the way through into the gear oil. Traditional CV joint bolts, when you remove them, the gear oil will pour out through the bolt holes. Instead, these studs stay Loctited to the transmission to plug those drive flange holes.
