Description

A common question that we get asked is "how much shock oil do I need to buy?". This tool will help you determine how much oil to buy PER SHOCK. It only ESTIMATES the amount of oil you'll need to purchase, NOT how much oil you actually put into the shock. It does not compensate for the seal head, hose, shaft, bypass tubes or other parts in the shock that all take up volume. Distance above the IFP is the length before the piston bottoms out. Some shock builders completely bottom out their IFP and some builders set their IFP an inch or more before being bottomed out to have some oil in the reservoir chamber.

A 16 ounce bottle is 1/2 of a quart.

Input all your measurements in inches. Use decimals instead of factions. For example 3.5 not 3-1/2

LikeWater Suspension Fluid

  • Provides the least viscosity change of any commercial suspension fluid and will operate unchanged longer than other suspension fluids
  • Often used by NASCAR, Indy CAR and ARCA teams in Superspeedway suspension setups
  • Can be mixed together to create intermediate viscosities, customized for a shocks's particular characteristics
  • Superior shear stability over most popular shock oils
  • Far less shock fade, provides lower operating temps for same viscosity when compared to conventional fluids
  • Eliminates most foaming and provides excellent seal lubricity
  • Extralight 2.5wt is very popular in NASCAR, as well as AMA Motocross
  • LightWeight is often used in Sprint Car racing, as well as in CORR and SCORE Off Road competition
  • Antiwear additives assist in longer shock life
