Description

The Stop & Go 6000 tire plugging kit effortlessly installs mushroom shaped rubber plugs to repair all flat and punctured tubeless tires while staying on the wheel. The reamer tool is used to clean the puncture. The funnel looking guide tube is inserted into the tire using the probe tool. After placing a mushroom plug into the plugging device (see important photo below), it's easily inserted through the guide tube into the tire. A firm pull on the stem seats the plug against the inner wall of the tire allowing no air to escape. The mushroom plug head will expand when seated to cover and seal the punctured area from inside the tire. This will ensure maximum reliability while reducing your downtime in any offroad race.

We currently sell three different Stop & Go kits
  • 1000A includes a soft pouch, reamer, probe, cutter, mushroom plugs and a standard plug installer
  • 1085 includes a hard case, reamer, probe, cutter, mushroom plugs and a deluxe plug installer
  • 6000 includes a soft pouch, reamer, probe, cutter, mushroom plugs, standard plug installer and a miniature air compressor / flash light combo with a cigarette lighter plug or battery terminal clips
There are two important steps that people miss when using Stop & Go's mushroom tire plugs. The first is using some sort of lubricant inside the funnel looking guide tube. The mushroom plugs come lubricated, but if they dry out, make sure you relube them so they push through the guide tube easier.

The second really important step is to push the mushroom plug into the tool so it's inverted. Almost like loading an old musket. You'll use the guide tube, and push the mushroom plug into the tool. If you forget this step, it's almost impossible to get the mushroom plug to go through the guide tube.
