The holes are for 12mm wheel studs. If you plan to use 14mm studs you'll have to drill out the spacers for the larger diameter studs. 14mm studs are recommended because of the extra load that a wheel spacer puts on the wheel stud.

If you have brake drums, you'll have to counterbore the inside of the drum, otherwise the head of the wheel stud will knock off your brake springs.

When purchasing wheel studs, make sure you compensate for the thickness of the wheel, the thickness of the spacer and the height of the lug nut to make sure you have plenty of threads.
